Why the name WineRed?
We often get this question, “Why did you guys choose your brand name as WineRed? You could have chosen something direct and more niche related.” We chose this name due to its symbolic meaning. Let me explain. Wine has always been the symbol of transformation and prosperity. The way grapes change their form and nature and turn into wine is the perfect example of transformation. And the color red is a symbol of love and passion. The name WineRed combines these values and makes it more concrete. These are the values we stand for as a brand. We love transformation, we hope for a better tomorrow and we love a better you and we’ll help you do that in style.We all face adversities, we fall, and eventually, we get up, stronger, wiser, and ready to take on any challenge. Sharing that journey with you is the ultimate reward we could ask for.
Birth of WineRed:
The Founder’s Story Building something from scratch is never easy. The difficulties overwhelm you, but still, you have to push through every challenge with the hope of a better tomorrow. WineRed was conceived back in 2017 with only two people. The founders Gunjan Arora and Garvit Thakral were the only people working to build this brand. They managed all the work in the beginning, starting from designing, fabric sourcing, production, and distribution. Gunjan being a fashion designer was always into experimenting and creating new things and making them look good at the same time, and Garvit brought the business acumen to the table. It was hard. Self-doubt, exhaustion, and the little exposure we had, everything combined made the process quite intimidating. After all, that’s what it takes to start something from scratch. But we kept pushing and we are glad that we did. As of now, WineRed is providing a source of income to more than 120 families, and it’s growing at a rapid rate. From 2 to 120 was a rollercoaster ride but it was fun.
